FEDA is an NGO, established in 1992 and registered in 1993 under number 1140, Ministry of Social Affairs, Giza, Egypt, and re-registered in 1999 under number 4629,Ministry of Social Affairs, Cairo ,Egypt .

Its subsidiary: “Sustainable Development Program in

Egypt (SDP)” was founded by UNDP in 1992.

FEDA is accredited by:

·       United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), 1992.

·       Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for a Convention to Combat Desertification (INCD), 1993.

·       International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), 1994.

·       World Summit for Social Development (WSSD), 1995.

·       United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), 2005.

Our funded activities in 2005 reached about seventy times that of 1994. We look forward to a similar impressive progress during the next decade.
